Fiona Furniss
Fiona Furniss is a Nia blue belt teacher and Ageless Grace educator with a wealth of experience in various dance forms. She holds a BA degree in Speech & Drama and languages and is also a qualified Ballet & Modern dance teacher.
Fiona worked in the wine industry for many years and was looking for exercise that was fun to do without the boredom and repetition found in the gym. She was thrilled to discover Nia and started teaching in Johannesburg in 2006 and has been teaching in Durban since she moved there 3 years ago.
In 2012 she became one of the first Ageless Grace educators in South Africa and is so enjoying being able to share this wonderful program with people of all ages and abilities.
Her passion lies in helping others to experience the joy that comes from moving the body in a healing way. She believes that we are all born to move and in order to live healthy lives we need to find the best way to move for our own bodies in our own way. Fiona is happy that she is able to facilitate this through her chosen movement forms.
She is married and has two teenage sons who keep her on her toes. Contact Fiona Furniss at fiona@berriesandbeans.co.za
